Is it ok to do tarot readings for yourself?

I started off doing Tarot readings for myself before I thought, "Hey, why not share the terror with others?" Traditionally, folks are a bit spooked about doing their own tarot readings. They think it's like being your own dentist - not recommended. But I say, "Why not?" I've done it loads, and it's been like having a personal GPS for life's confusing highways.

Now, there's this idea that doing your own readings is biased. Sure, your emotions are all up in there, but who says that's a bad thing? It's like cooking your own food; you know exactly what spices to add. Sure, you might spice it up a bit too much sometimes, but hey, you learn.

As a tarot reader, you've got to learn to step back from the situation. It's like being a referee in your own game. You've got to call the fouls even if you're playing. And trust me, the cards? They're brutal. They don't sugarcoat. Sometimes, I feel like they're just there to tell me I'm messing up. But that's the beauty of it - they keep you honest.

The cards don't lie, but sometimes I swear they're just having a laugh at my expense. They're like those friends who know you too well and aren't afraid to tell you when you're being an idiot. Being aware of your own biases is key. It's like knowing your own tells in poker; you can play around them.

In essence, doing your own tarot readings can be like having a stern but loving coach. They'll guide you, even if it's with a bit of tough love. And that's where tarot readings shine - they give you the raw, unfiltered truth, which is sometimes exactly what you need to get your life on track.

So, if you're thinking about doing your own readings, go for it! Just be ready for some real talk from those little pieces of cardboard. They might just bully you into being your best self.

How do I do my Tarot readings?

You might be wondering how I do my tarot readings. Well, I've got this thing called "Intuitive Reading." It's like, I don't stick to some old-school layout; I just let the cards vibe where they wanna go. Think of it like freestyle tarot, where the cards and I just jam together.

About the cards themselves, they're like my spirit guides. Each card isn't just a piece of art; it's like they're whispering secrets to me. I lay them out, and it's like they start chatting, telling me all sorts of stuff. Or maybe it's just the wind, but hey, it works!

For quick reads, I go with three or four cards. It's like a tarot snapshot - quick and to the point. But if you're in for the deep dive, I'll pull out five to seven cards. It's like connecting the dots, but instead of a picture, you get life advice and this is usually the type of detailed reads I give to my clients.

I keep it real, no fluff. If the cards say you're about to meet someone special, awesome! If they hint at a rough patch, consider it a heads-up. People seem to dig the honesty, or maybe they're just too polite to say otherwise.

About me

Hi! My name is Mao Cat and I started this website with the aim to help fellow cattos such as yourself to find some clarity on your journey through life :3

Growing up I was mystified by tarot reading seeing it as a mysterious and ancient art form that my mortal brain could'nt comprehend. It wasnt until I hit my twenties that I started diving into tarot as a hobby and soon it developed into one of my passions in life.

How did I get into this?

My friends are to blame. Back in college, I started doing readings for my friends to overwhelming positive feedback. From there, I thought, "Why not share this with the world?" So, I went online, and to my surprise, people didn't run for the hills. They came back for more, which I took as a sign to keep going.

In essence, I'm here to help you navigate life's wild ride with a bit of card magic. It's not just about predicting the future; it's about giving you a nudge in the right direction. Or at least, that's what I tell myself when the cards are being particularly cryptic.

So there you have it, a peek into my card-shuffling, intuition-tapping world. Hope it gives you a chuckle or at least a moment of "huh, that's different!"
